The Woodland Collection wouldn’t be complete without a nod to those magical nights spent under the stars — and that’s where the Campfire Blanket comes in. This design captures the heart of every camping trip, featuring a glowing campfire silhouette with a tent in the background, all framed in the modern split design that defines this series. It’s the perfect crochet project for outdoor enthusiasts, cabin dwellers, or anyone who loves the cozy nostalgia of campfire nights.
Just like the other blankets in the collection, the Campfire Blanket uses my signature color-changing crochet technique to bring the design to life. With crisp, clean lines and bold contrast, you’ll achieve a polished look that feels both modern and rustic. Whether you’re making it as a gift for a camping buddy, a cozy cabin throw, or as part of the full six-blanket Woodland set, this design is sure to spark joy (and maybe a few s’mores cravings).

Crocheting with Color Changes
This pattern uses my signature color-changing crochet technique to create crisp lines and clean details without endless yarn ends to weave in. The result is a professional-looking blanket that is both enjoyable to make and eye-catching once complete. Whether you’re snuggling under it on a cool evening or gifting it to a woodland enthusiast, the Feeling Squirrelly Blanket is sure to bring joy and smiles.

If you’d like to perfect your skills before diving in, my Color Changing Made Easy course will guide you step-by-step through the same technique I used in this design. With over 3 hours of detailed video lessons, you’ll gain the confidence to crochet bold, image-driven blankets with ease.

Woodland Style Blanket Collection
This blanket was originally designed as part of a collection of six woodland-themed throw blankets, each featuring a modern split silhouette style. Every design in the series highlights a unique element of the forest, bringing together nature-inspired details in a bold, contemporary way. The mushroom blanket quickly became a favorite for its whimsical charm and cozy woodland feel. You can find links for all the individual designs at the end of this blog post.
