Christmas is in full swing in my household and I am sure it is in many of yours too. A quick and easy addition to that Christmas spirit is this fun Elf Hat with a whimsical curved tip crocheted right in!

Make it in a solid color or 2, 3 or more fun colorful stripes for a fun and playful look. Then you can choose to add a pom or a jingle bell to make your hat fit your personality. The natural curve is crocheted right into the tip so it actually stands up all by itself.

Elf Hat with Curved Tip Crochet Pattern

The Elf Hat crochet pattern is darling for those newborns but don’t stop there, this pattern includes sizes up through children (about 12 years old). Make them for all your children or grandchildren for a perfect holiday photo opp.

I love when you can crochet a hat that can have so many looks to it. This crochet pattern is just that, the possibilities are endless.

About the Elf Hat with Curved Tips

As I already mentioned, the elf hat comes in so many sizes including:

  • newborn
  • 3-6 month
  • 6-12 month
  • 12-24 month
  • child (up to about 12 years old)

The hat is made using the popular worsted weight yarn. I love working with #4 weight yarns because they work up quick and are nice and warm for crochet hats.

The curve stands up!

You got it! This photo was not photoshopped with someone holding the curve up. The curve is crocheted in the hat by alternating single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches. This adds a cute whimsical look to an already dreamy holiday.
