Just in time for fall, I am re-releasing my pumpkin crochet hat pattern. It will now come in a new, more reader friendly format, and it is now available for FREE. See out how cute this pumpkin patch is.
The pumpkin crochet hat pattern comes in sizes from newborn up to adult. You can make one for each member of your family.
The hat is made using any worsted weight yarn. Give each hat a different look by using a different shade or orange or green for the cute curly vine that adorns the top of the hat.

How is it possible that the first stitch is a FPdc?
I assume you are referring to the hat pattern. You begin the hat by crocheting the stem of the hat then you will change colors and begin the hat pattern by crocheting directly into the stitches of the last round of the stem. R1 explains that you will work the FP around the same stitch that you joined in (this is the stitch from the stem of the hat. Once R1 has been crocheted, the FP stitches of each round will be crocheted around the FP stitch of the prior row. I hope that helps explain it. 🙂
