The Don’t Moose with Me Crochet Blanket Pattern is a fun oversized throw blanket. The silhouette of the moose is defined with an outline that makes it pop, while the silhouette is emphasized with the striped background.
The blanket is made using a simple stitch repeat. The pattern is not a C2C blanket, it is worked from the bottom up in short rows.
The pattern has a couple different formats that you can follow. It includes a color chart in 2 sizes: one page for a quick print off and go option or a 4 page enlarged format for easier tracking and viewing. There is also a written format that includes how many stitches to crochet in each color.
The Don’t Moose with Me pattern includes full photo tutorials for all the techniques you need to complete the blanket.
The blanket is fun to create and can fit in nearly any decor style by simply changing the color scheme. The extra large tassels are completely optional, they add a playful and whimsical look to the throw blanket.
Don’t Moose with Me Blanket Details
The blanket is an extra large throw blanket which is extra nice to snuggle up in. The completed size is 40” wide X 52” long.
You can make the blanket in any worsted weight yarn. I used Sprightly Acrylic Worsted weight yarn, I love the softness of this yarn, especially for blankets. It is a full, rich and plush yarn with bold colors. Check out the entire Sprightly color line by clicking this {affiliate} link HERE.

Before I buy this I was wondering if it’s easy to scale down? Wanting to make it more of a baby blanket. I’ve made several blankets so I do have a pretty good grasp of patterns. Thanks!
Scaling graph patterns down can be a little tricky. I would recommend testing your gauge first, if you use a finer worsted weight yarn it may come out perfect (or go down a hook size-just make sure the crocheted fabric is still soft, you don’t want the tighter stitches to stiffen up). You can however, easily shorted the blanket by eliminating top and bottom rows, but the sides of the chart go out most of the way. I hope that helped.
