Sometimes you create a pattern that gets so much love. You receive so many compliments and requests for coordinating patterns. I have been very fortunate to see that my Winter Wishes Scarf pattern has been a top seller for the last 3 years (2019-2022). After many requests, I have finally sat down and designed a coordinating Winter Wishes Hat crochet pattern.

Why so popular?

I believe that the Winter Wishes Scarf and other Winter Wishes designs are so popular because of the beautiful texture. The stitches are fairly easy to crochet. Plus, you can immediately see how lovely the alternating rows create so much texture in each design. Which design is your favorite? About the winter Wishes Hat

Each of the Winter Wishes designs above features a version of the same stitches, worked in just a slightly different pattern. They all coordinate but may have a different number of textured rows.

The hat design was fun to work up. I made 3 in one day because they were so fun to make while I was sitting next to the fire on a snowy day.

Materials Needed to make your hat

• Crochet Hook I (5.50 mm)
• Crochet Hook H (5.00 mm)
• Worsted Weight Yarn (#4) – 160-200 yards
  • Cream sample made in: Mary Maxim Irish Twist / Color: Natural
  • Brown sample made in: Mary Maxim Starlette / Color: Medium Taupe
  • Speckled sample made in: Mary Maxim Irish Tweed / Color: Tandra de Matiz
• Measuring Tape
• Scissors
• Yarn Needle

Please keep in mind that all worsted weight yarn varied in weight a little. There are heavy and light worsted weight yarns, so checking your gauge is very important. In this pattern, I used a medium/heavy worsted weight yarn.

Sizes Available in the Pattern

The pattern includes sizes for Children (about 3-12 years old), Youth/Ladies and Adult/Men. Specific measurements are included within the pattern itself.

All SP3 Patterns have been tested for accuracy
