After releasing my Among the Aspens Crochet Blanket, which features a buck standing peacefully beside a grove of beautiful aspen trees, I received so many requests for a bear version. Apparently, many of you thought a bear wandering through the aspens would make a pretty spectacular blanket!
So, after hearing your requests again and again, I knew I had to make it happen. Meet the Bear Among the Aspens Crochet Blanket!

I loved the idea of creating a companion design featuring a bear in the same beautiful aspen setting. The result is a blanket that captures that quiet moment you might experience while exploring the mountains—when you round a bend in the trail and discover a bear standing among the trees.

The Bear Among the Aspens Blanket is created using my signature color-changing crochet technique. The bear, trees, and surrounding details are worked directly into the blanket as you crochet, creating the image without needing to add separate appliqués afterward.
This technique is one of my favorite ways to create detailed, image-based crochet designs. With strategic color changes, simple crochet stitches can come together to create an entire woodland scene.
The pattern comes with multiple pages of tutorials on how to work the stitch used to crochet the blankets, and includes color-change photo tutorials as well.
