Fall is in the air, and what better way to celebrate the season than by adding a touch of handmade warmth to your home? This crochet table runner, featuring a beautiful blend of cream and rust yarn with intricate maple leaves, is the perfect project to embrace autumn’s cozy vibes. Whether you’re dressing up your dining table for a festive meal or adding a seasonal touch to your coffee table, this customizable table runner is sure to impress.
Crocheting a Fall Table Runner is a rewarding project that combines creativity with practicality.
Yarn Selection
For this project, I chose a soft cream color as the base to create a neutral backdrop that allows the vibrant rust-colored maple leaves to truly pop. Feel free to experiment with other fall-inspired colors like deep browns, golden yellows, or even a subtle hint of green for the leaves.
Pattern Overview
This table runner is designed with versatility in mind. You can customize the length to fit any table by choosing from four different size. Each size will be 11inches wide but you can add repeat sections to adjust the length to the following: 27″, 55″, 81″ and 108″. My table is an extra long 90 inch table so the sample was made at 108″ and I love how it turned out and drapes over the table ends just a little.
The runner is made using the signature knotted half double crochet that I use in most (but not all) of my color changing designs.
