One of my favorite things about creating image-based crochet blankets is finding ways to make detailed designs without creating a mountain of yarn ends!

The Pinecone Blanket uses my signature color-changing crochet technique to create the pinecone imagery directly into the blanket. Instead of adding separate motifs afterward, the design develops right along with your rows of crochet.

This technique allows you to create crisp, recognizable images while keeping the finished blanket looking polished and professional.

• 2900 yards of Yarn: Worsted Weight (#4) yarn
  • Sample made using the yarn listed below.
  • 2450 yards Yarn Brand & Line / color: main color-mc (white on chart)  
  • 450 yards Yarn Brand & Line / color: contrasting color-cc (brown on chart)
• Size K/3/6.50mm crochet hook 
• Size I/5/5.50 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Measuring Tape
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

The finished blanket is designed as a comfortable throw size, making it perfect for curling up under or displaying as part of your home décor.
