A Sweet & Serene Sea-Inspired Design
The Sea Turtle Baby Blanket features an adorable turtle crocheted right into the blanket along with floating sea weed, coral, a seahorse, and of course, a starfish. The design is soft, sweet, and perfect for babies and toddlers alike. While the sample shown is stitched in a delicate light pink (a beautiful option for a baby girl!), the blanket looks stunning in a wide variety of colors. Picture it in ocean blues, sandy neutrals, or even bright, playful pastels.
Pattern Details
The Sea Turtle Nursery blanket was designed by Christine at Sweet Potato 3. The idea came to fruition from a request from one of my wonderful followers, Tersia Ward. Tersia wanted to make a special blanket for her grandbaby, and the nursery theme was the ocean. Tersia generously made this blanket and shared her photos with me. She did an amazing job and made this blanket with lots of love.

Technique: This pattern uses my signature color change technique (but don’t worry—detailed instructions are included!)

Materials Needed to Make the Sea Turtle Blanket
- 1900 yards medium worsted (#4) weight yarn
- 1225 yards / color: daydream white (white on graph)
- 440 yards / color: petal pink (mc-main color on graph)
- 235 yards / color: fawn (sand on graph)
- Size K/3/6.50mm crochet hook
- Size I/5/5.50 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Measuring Tape
