Embrace the spirit of adventure with the Boho Adventure Blanket, a charming and free-spirited design perfect for the little explorers in your life. With a playful teepee centered and at the heart of the design, this crochet pattern evokes a sense of wanderlust and the great outdoors. Whether it’s for a nursery with a boho flair or a cozy corner with a bassinet, this blanket brings warmth and a sense of adventure wherever it goes.

Boho Adventure Blanket

The Boho Adventure Nursery Blanket has some fun details throughout the blanket. You will begin crocheting the blanket with a fun traditional tribal design of repeating arrows and shapes that are popular in so much boho decor. Plus, this is a great spot to add colors to coordinate with your decor.

The design continues with the same style including triangles, zigzags & diamonds throughout the tepee. A couple feathers are shown hanging from the top of the tepee to give it a playful look along with the moon and stars in the sky. The blanket is then finished with a couple rows of colors to bring it all together.

Have You Worked Color Changes In Crochet?

If you’ve been following me, you know my love of the knotted half double crochet. This stitch is what has allowed me to create some of the most beautiful designs using color changes. It creates gorgeous color transitions, clean angles & lines among a full-bodied stitch.

The knotted half double crochet is a unique stitch that is new to many crocheters. I started designing with it in 2020 when I designed my Music to the Souls Blankets (and now I have over 30 patterns using it and many more designs on their way).

If you are new to crocheting color changes it can be intimidating. Starting a large project can be extra intimidating because you want it to start and end with consistent quality of tension/gauge and stitches. It was important to me to make everyone feel confident when making one of my designs using the knotted half double crochet and working my graph patterns, so I created a full course that walks you through all the nitty gritty you may want to know.

All my designs using this technique have full instructions in the pattern itself, but if you want to practice or need a little more guidance, please be sure to check out my Changing Colors Course.

Pattern Notes & Size of the Boho Adventure Nursery Blanket

A unique fact about the Boho Adventure blanket is that it is 100% reversible! The clean lines and color changes look the same on the back and front sides.

The completed size of the finished blanket using the stated DK weight yarn is 30” wide X 37” long, however, this can vary slightly depending on the DK yarn you use.

If you choose to use worsted weight yarn, same hook & instructions, instead of DK weight yarn, your completed blanket will measure approximately: 36” wide x 40” long.
