Today I spent cleaning out my craft room. While I was going through my huge yarn stash I found a beautiful skein of super bulky yarn. It was so soft and the colors reminded me of spring. I knew I had to make something quick and fun and wanted it to be something useful. So the Simple Crochet Basket popped into my mind!
The Simple Crochet Basket was perfect to have on a stand and keep my current WIPs (works in progress). It is small enough to keep those small remnants of yarn, my hooks and project all just fit perfectly.

With my Simple Crochet Basket done, it dawned on me {face to palm… duh}, this will work for an EASTER BASKET too! I am still not sure, why that idea didn’t pop into my head first, but, somethings, this is just how it works out.

I mean seriously, it is too cute! The basket is only about 8″ across the bottom. So, this is especially perfect for a small display or a small child. I have mine sitting out right now next to my entry way.

Golf Set Crochet Pattern

This Golf Set crochet pattern comes with complete instructions for the Golfers Cap, Bow Tie with an adjustable neck band, Britches that fall just below the knee and suspenders.

The pattern includes the following sizes: NEWBORN, 3-6 MONTH & 6-12 MONTH. Sizing can be difficult at this age because sizes can vary so much by just a couple pounds. I used average sizes according the U.S growth charts, but if possible take measurements of the child that will be wearing the set.

Mermaid Tail Sets are so popular in photographing little girls right now. I recently released a fun set for newborns but I received so many request for larger sizes that I had to add them.
The Mermaid Photo Prop Pattern now includes 3 sizes: newborn, 3-6 months, and 6-12 months.

More about the Mermaid Set

The Tail of the Mermaid prop is made in a raised but still slightly subtle wave pattern. The look replicates that of scales. The tail simply slides over the legs and is secured around the waist of the baby.
The bikini top is cute band that has a pinched pleat in the center of the front. This design is easy on a sleeping baby. If you have an older baby that is slightly more mobile, you may want to consider adding a small neck strap, but make sure you supervise the infant while it is wearing the set.
The headband features a design that can either be a starfish or a swaying flower of the sea.

Have fun with colors

Be creative with colors while you make your mermaid set. A simple change here can dramatically change the look of the mermaid set.

Hats are one of the essentials for cooler days, since we get to wear them so often it is fun to have a selection of unique ones in your stash for different days. It is a must to have one with cables, therefore, I designed the Cable Twist Hat .

One of the reasons I love this design so much is that it appeals to everyone: men, women and children of all ages. It is a classic design that will never go out of style and works for practically any occassion.

The hat is designed using a light weight (#3) yarn. I decided to make my samples using Loops & Threads Sugarspun yarn in the color, Blue Jean. I love the softness of this yarn and lovely it works up.

More about the Cable Twist Pattern

The Cable Twist hat can be made with or without the earflaps. Each way has a completely different look to it resulting endless possibilities in making the hat for different folks.

The hat is pretty basic but the cable running along the base is what really makes it stand out! The pattern includes photos to explain the correct stitch placement as the cable is made.
